New Age/Eastern Mysticism In The Churches

By Sandy Simpson

Within my lifetime there has been a monumental change in the churches. In the last few decades New Age Eastern Mysticism and Gnosticism has entered a majority of Christian churches. It entered very slowly, like the analogy of a frog in a pot. When the pot is slowly brought to a boil with a live frog in the pot it has been observed that it will not jump out because it does not feel the changes in temperature until it is boiled to death. The "slow boil" of New Age brainwashing in the churches started a long time ago, but even in the last 20 years or so the changes are stark. None of the New Age practices I will mention could be found in most churches at that time, and would have been soundly dismissed as unbiblical and heretical. Many will ask, "Where has the New Age entered the churches?" All you have to do is think about it a little and you will see that many churches have adopted New Age teachings and ideas and "Christianized" them, when none of them can be found in the Bible.

Beware- Embedded Stretching Angels Awakening

The Elijah list is again jumping head first into the cesspool of goofiness with claims of embedded Angels.   They have featured an article by Bill Yount in which he claims that Ancient Angels of Faith are embedded in the walls of many Churches and YIKES they are being activated! Why are they being activated? Bill Yount claims that it is because of the prayers of the saints of past generations. All of the prayers were being absorbed into the walls and ceilings of the churches causing a sort of crusty build up if you will. Now, these sleepy Angels are awakening and stretching their wings. Of course if I was an Angel and I had been sleeping in a crusty wall, I would be due for a good stretch upon awakening too.  However, now, all these stretching Angels are going to cause the walls to come tumbling down.

Singing with the Planets

If there is one thing I have learned about the self named apostles and prophets of the New Apostolic Reformation, it is this.  It can ALWAYS get weirder. A recent circulating YouTube video clip of Chuck Pierce and Robert Heidler has proved this yet again.  This relatively short clip was taken from a larger one in which we see Pierce extolling the virtues of singing with the planets - the sound of heaven.  He tells the audience that some of their organs will come alive.  What exactly does that mean? He claims that he can see strands of DNA being reprogramed by the sounds of heaven and that he can see the earth rising up to the sounds of heaven to bring forth the plan of the land. A grey haired lady with the eyes of a cheap fortune teller, makes an appearance a few minutes in and gives a prophesy that I can only describe as creepy.  This is followed by strange sounds by a man on stage.  I give this a 90/100 on the wierdness scale.

Patricia King -Encouraging Ekstasis Trance Dancing

Today’s church is becoming a modern New Age Supermarket where pleasurable and hedonistic “god experiences” are handed out like fresh fruit. We must examine the fruit they say- it is fine as long as the fruit is good. Well, yes I agree the fruit is good. If Sin were not pleasurable it would not tempt us. It is good to look at, it is good to hold, but should you be unfortunate enough to eat this New Age fruit- it will kill you.

Doling out more than her share of this mysterious new fruit is Patricia King of Extreme Prophetic. Patricia King admits to being in both the occult and New Age prior to coming to Christ. Her teachings are blatantly New Age and she openly refers to herself as a “New Mystic.”  Her most recent dalliance into neo-paganism comes with her promotion of “Ekstasis,” a form of trance dancing. Her itinerant pastor who doubles as a travelling DJ calls the show “Club Mysterio.” (See video examples at the end of page)

The New Mystics

The following was transcribed word for word from a Patricia King Video teaching entitled The New Mystics. See what she has to say about this new anointing,  and who she is promoting, and then decide for yourself if you want this “blessing.”

Hi I want to speak to you today about the “Mystic” Anointing and ahhhh I looked up mystical in the dictionary and it says Mystical: Having a spiritual meaning or reality that is neither apparent to the senses nor obvious to the intelligence. Wow I will read it again - Having a spiritual meaning or reality that is neither apparent to the senses nor obvious to the intelligence. It also means involving or having the nature of an individual’s direct subjective communion with God. In other words the mystical realm is actually the invisible realm and the Kingdom that we serve is an invisible kingdom.

Drunk in the Spirit

By Mishel

WineOne of huge characteristic of the apostolic and prophetic movement is being drunk in the spirit.  “Have another drink” they shout, “Come and get some” and “More Lord”. However do we really want to fill our glass with this wine?  The truth is that nowhere in scripture does God equate the Holy Spirit with staggering, loss of control, disrupted motor function, slurred speech, confusion, disorientation, or falling. In fact it appears scripture supports the OPPOSITE. We are admonished to stay sober and be vigilant- and all the more as we see the end approaching.
