Thanks, Ben. I need to
Thanks, Ben. I need to apologise myself too for getting defensive and argumentative. It doesn't happen too often, thankfully, but I get a bee in my bonnet now and again and get a bit carried away. Apologies to you. I actually enjoy your posts a lot, but just on that one found myself disagreeing.
We've not heard too much of TB here in the UK, but the style and content is very familiar to me because I was involved in a very controlling church for ten years. When I look back, I really cannot believe the things I fell for. It astounds me now, but at the time it all made sense. Then, one day...revelation! I would have said that I knew a lot about scripture and was a strong believer. I was no babe and novice, but I desperately wanted to see God move having come out of a very sterile and traditional church background. Anyway, it's a long story, but now I keep discernment sharp but I suppose that I can understand why people fall for the error.
