No, but then again I also

No, but then again I also claim to have met the Lord, or perhaps only a man who acted on behalf of the Lord. I don't know, but when I get to heaven I will probably know for sure. In my version the Lord was a man from our church who was having mental problems. He did NOT claim to be the Lord or God but went on to say how saddened he was that he was going to have to destroy the world. I only later thought that this could be such an encounter with the Lord. Remember how the "gardener" appeared to Mary first and how he was unknown on the road to Damascus. A word of advice: Don't criticise so much until you have all of the facts. The new testament if full of supernatural encounters. The church is weak, divided, and in danger of falling (by Jesus's own word). I do agree many of the things written about Todd Bentley do sound outlandish. If even half of the jabs are true then his doctrines should be corrected. Remember, however, even the witnesses regarding Jesus on the night of the passion could not even fully agree. A noble Bearean might listen to all things, weight them upon scripture and toss out the bad and keep the good. In general, most things on earth are partly good, partly bad. It is just unfortunate that the church in general does not allow more introspection. When it comes to "celebrity" leaders such introspection is seldom accomplished on a calm, sedate playing field.
