First of all, congratulations on your decision to follow Christ!  It is one that you will never regret.  Please do not ever totally trust another for your spiritual growth.  There is NO substitute for reading and understanding the Bible on your own.  Jesus said that the end days would be characterized by great deception marked by signs and wonders.  In fact the Bible says the Antichrist will perform miracles and call fire down from heaven!  I am sure the people on the forum are well meaning Christians who love God.  People do not know they are being deceived - that is why they call it deception.  I came out of a very deep involvement with this type of teaching and it is very very deceptive and destructive.  My advise to you would be to pray and sincerely ask God to reveal HIS truth to you.  Then ask Him to protect you from deception. Lord I pray for my friend here and ask that you would lead them into your Truth and protect them from deception.  I ask that you would give him or her a love for your Word and lead them into a deeper relationship with you.  I pray that he or she would not take my word or anyone elses word but would search these things out in your Word.  I pray your protection over him or her right now in the name of Jesus.
