That was a good post and I
That was a good post and I could not agree more. The purpose for providing the information on this site is so Christians who are clearly seeking an answer will have some information by which to make their decision. We do not hate Todd Bentley or any of his ardent admirers. I hate the deception but I do not hate the vessel through which deception comes. I think that most of these people that are attending the meetings are sincere folks who genuinely want a touch from God. However Todd Bentley's doctrine is anthing but Christian. It is new age mysticism but veiled in Chritian terms. Is doctrine important? You bet- that is why God provided scripture in the first place. The Bible tells us that the antiChrist will use signs and wonders to deceive the nations. Not that I am calling Todd Bentley the antiChrist!! However we see that satan knows full well how to perform supernatural wonders in order to deceive. So why is it that people get so angry when questions are raised as to the true source of Bentley's power? We are told to test the spirits. How do we test the sprits? We line everything up with Scripture. I watched the Lakeland revival with great antipation- I wanted it to be true- i wanted it to be real- I wanted it to be God. However it does not stand up to testing.Mishel
