The following is transcribed word for word from a video of Todd Bentley describing another enounter with Jesus. Note that Todd does not fall down and worship Jesus and initially when Jesus enters the room Todd thinks that it is the devil! Perhaps he should have gone with his first impressions. The Bible says that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father. He is fully God and He is now in a glorified body. Why on earth would Jesus leave heaven and become a man again so he could talk to Todd. One would think if the Lord himself appeared that there must be a world changing message that He wants to bring. However, no, Jesus just stops by so Todd can smell his hand. Mmmmmmmm Vanilla.
And I am standing in the room now at like 4:20 in the morning and I am like “I love you Jesus – you’re just awesome- just.. I just want to be with you again” and I climbed into my bed and I’m thinking- I am just going to pass out in the Glory, talk to the Lord and soak until I pass out- I do that all the time.
I’m lying in my bed- I pull the comforter up and I’m all snug- I just love you lord you’re beautiful and all of a sudden rrrrrrrrrr there is a creaking noise somebody opens my door wrrrrrrrrup steps into the room rrrrrr boom -closes the door behind them. It is pitch black- I am in the North of Northern BC there are no lights outside. I am on a farmhouse there is no- there not even like any light its pitch black! I cant even see my hand but all I hear is rrrrrrrrrr a door open and someone step into the room- rrrrrrrrr bam and close the door behind them. And I am yelling out in the room hello hello? HELLO!! there is no response. In my mind I am thinking it’s the devil that’s what I am thinking he’s coming to attack me for prophesying all night long -I am under attack it’s the devil.
I’ve got no room mate- I am scared- I’m like 22 yrs old- just in the ministry -I’m scared. I think it’s I think it’s the devil! My heart is pounding brrrrm brrrrm brrrrm brmmm I can’t see my hand- I cant get to the lamp ya know cant find the light switch nothing.
And all of a sudden I’m looking over- trying ya know how ya adjust your eyes to the dark and I am trying to see and all of a sudden blue pink green purple emerald like a living rainbow starts moving towards me out of the darkness. Bright lights like the Northern Lights that were in the sky- they are in my bedroom coming towards me All I can think of and I don’t know why is I thought Joseph and the coat of many colors- someone is wearing the coat of many colors –that’s what I thought –someone’s wearing the coat of many colors that’s all I thought -then out of the brightness steps the Lord- Jesus- I was having a visitation of Jesus.
He walks up to my bed sits on my bed and my bed goes rrrrrrrr that’s how real it was- tangible- in the natural my mat -the bed went rrrrrrrrr and the Lord sat on my bed took his hand and put it over my face and I smelled vanilla. Then he took his hand – cinnamon- he took his hand- it was the fragrant oil of the anointing of the King himself.
Everytime I breathed it in my head would explode- and I was like- I was undone- tears were running down my face …pause…. how much do you love Jesus? He said if you love me- it’s an amazing scripture John 14 John 15- I don’t have it right now because the Lord is just reminding me of this promise even right now. If you love me I will manifest myself to you He said if you love me I will manifest myself to you.
This heretical drivel is not even close to being scriptural but does resemble experiences found in the New Age and the Occult.

The more i read you posts the more i understand how you do not know your scriptures and how you're missing out on so much.
Why on earth would you misinterpret a visitation from Jesus in the Spirit to Him actually leaving heaven in the flesh as a man to visit Todd? God can choose how He wants to appear to us as He pleases. Just because a door opens and shuts does not constitute Jesus entering in the flesh. Many visions are tangible and as real as it gets in teh Spirit without it actually being in the flesh. Shame on you.
Todd Bentley
This is a circular message. Please read carefully:
To all of you who are sadly blinded to, threatened by, deceived and missing out on what God is doing in the Florida Outpouring, there is nothing disturbing, new or outrageous about this move of God, it is clear the bible is full of it…. What does this mean then, that your word of God is ok if it is in black and white print but that God is a God of word and not power though? Why is it that so many are afraid of what God is doing through this man of God called Todd Bentley? And why is it that so many are more concerned with trying so hard to look for any errors or ‘slip ups’ in order to try and discredit both the man and what is happening instead of focusing on what God is actually doing?
Look at the fruits of what is happening, look at the fruits of Todd Bentley because by his fruits you will know him (Matthew 7 v 15-20). Look at v.18 “a bad tree cannot bear good fruit”. Therefore, if Todd is a false prophet then how can he produce such good fruit? Look at the thousands of lives that have been, and are being changed, saved and healed. This cannot be denied. How can you claim this is not of God? If this is not of God then it can only be from one other...the devil. (Matthew 12 v 24-28 ) “if satan casts out satan he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?” So many are being delivered from demonic strongholds and only God can do this. Anyone that has the Spirit of God in them will have this witness to their spirit.
I am nothing short of shocked and appalled at how some can say and publicise such hurtful, evil things than what I have seen on this website. It is quite clear that what has been said is not in The Spirit. (Matthew 12 v 32) “whoever speaks against the holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him”. Those of you who speak out against what the holy Spirit is doing are heaping burning coals on your heads.
So many of you say we should keep referring to the ‘truth’ of the scriptures and not signs and wonders and manifestations, yet this is the truth of the scriptures?...they are full of this. (Mark 16v 20) “ confirming the word through accompanying of signs”. This is exactly what Todd is doing. Don’t say there is not enough teaching on the word or reference to Jesus and the scriptures when everything he does is based on scripture, but you prefer to have seen one small part and blow this out of proportion.
(Mark 16 v 14) Jesus rebuked the unbelief and hardness of heart when they did not believe when they had seen Jesus after He had risen. It’s interesting to read that Jesus went on to say that “These signs will follow those who believe. In My name they will cast out demons”.
Jesus was rejected by His own, and the Pharisees were full of unbelief despite knowing the scriptures themselves. The more Jesus did His Father’s will and healed and did signs and wonders, the more the Pharisees were offended and could not handle it.
Why are you shocked at some of Todd’s methods? Actually they are not his methods as such but God’s as he is being obedient to God’s voice. If Todd had spat in someones eyes (Mark 8v 23) and grabbed a load of mud and rubbed it in someone’s eyes (John 9 v 6) it would cause an uproar with some of you, but the fact that Jesus himself did this is an example of how God chooses to act. It was ok for Jesus to throw over tables in the temple in righteous anger and use a whip to drive out the people from it (John 2 v 15). Yet somehow it goes against the grain when a servant of God does something out of the ordinary. Who are you to decide how God wants to do something? Did Smith Wigglesworth offend you in the same way? In fact why does a method have to be in the scriptures to begin with? Does it say in scripture to place your hand on the affected part only? Does it specify to place your hand on the head? Does it say you must only use mud and saliva on a particular blind man? More to the point is being obedient to what God is telling you to do. This is what Christ did (John 5 v 19) “ the Son can do nothing by Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever he does, the Son also does in like manner”. Jesus also said “he that believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do” (John 14 v 12)
• To those of you who speak out against the way Todd has been overcome by the power of God and drunk in the Spirit:
Acts 2 v 13-22.
v.13: “they are full of new wine”. Onlookers believed they were drunk.
v.15: “for these men are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day”. Peter explains they they are not drunk as onlookers thought.
• To those of you who think signs and wonders are not of God or that we should not be looking at them:
Hebrews 2 v 4: “God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders”.
Matthew 10 v 8: “heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons”.
Mark v 16 v 20: “confirming the word through accompanying of signs.
Acts 2 v 17-19: “...I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above and sings in the earth beneath..”.
• To those of you who state Todd has approved of ‘astral projection’, even though he never said this, and was actually referring to being taken in the Spirit
Ezekial 37 v1: “the hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the midst of the valley...”.
• To those of you who claim that the receiving of messages from angels and talking to them and receiving from them is not biblical:
Daniel 9 v 22: “ and he informed me, and talked with me, and said ‘O Daniel,I have now come forth to GIVE you skill to understand’”.
Daniel 10 v 10 onwards:
v.14: “now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come”. A clear example of the messenger angel foretelling what is to come.
v.18: “ then again, the one having the likeness of a man TOUCHED me and STRENGTHENED me”. Read the bible, it’s full of encounters! Angels are messengers and carriers of God’s word and CAN impart to us and are used by God, just as we are used by God. There’s nothing new age about this, they are God’s ministers.
• To those of you who claim Todd and others (Rick Joyner) have ‘fantasy trips’ to heaven and we all lack discernment if we fall for this:
Revelation (the whole book): is just that. Who are we to say God cannot reveal anything else in the Spirit to anyone? How else does God get His message to us!
To all those who
• To those who claim the ABC Nightlife report had exposed Todd for what they believed he was and caused Todd to take time off:
After doing meetings every night for 4 months don’t you think a little rest is acceptable then? There was nothing negative about this report at all. It exposed nothing than what you would expect from a secular news channel. We know not everyone gets healed where others do. The accusation that Todd did not provide medical records to verify healings...oh come on! We all know these are confidential and names of doctors etc cannot be revealed. Todd’s past is irrelevant, as is anyone elses. Romans 8 v 1: “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit”. Any condemnation pointed towards Todd is from the evil one.
• To those that think the Florida Outpouring is theatrical and healings should be done in the quiet, secret place:
1Corinthians 2 v 4: “ And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but with the DEMONSTRATION of the Spirit and of power”. Why on earth would we want to keep the power of God to ourselves instead of making sure everyone knows about it?
• To all those that state Todd Bentley is quiting the revival:
There is an anointing upon Todd to impart this in other cities and countries. The revival is not just for Lakeland but is global as Todd stated from the very beginning, or did you forget that? There is an open heaven at Lakeland at the moment and it will still be there when Todd moves on.
• To those of you that presumed they heard Todd say Jesus would reveal Himself to all in the flesh:
First things first……..the prophesy Todd read out about the visitation of Jesus was not prophesied by himself, so that’s one grave error.
Todd also read out that it would be a personal ‘ONE TO ONE’ visitation. Just in case this is confusing to you, this means it is not a corporate visitation for ALL to see at once but a ‘personal’ ‘one to one’. ‘One to one’ means just the two of you together….I would have thought this is basic stuff but however.
Next, Todd read out that it would be a personal ‘visitation’ and did not state once that it would be Jesus in the flesh. Visitations have been a common thing, and is scriptural, and Jesus can appear to many in the Spirit.
It’s time to not just read your bible, but to understand it and live it. If you’re expecting God to be rational and logical and to only do what your human mind can comprehend then you will be waiting forever and you may as well throw your bible away because there is nothing logical or rational about God in there. God is outside the box and for some reason many cannot cope with this and have to put God back in it so that they feel safe in their comfort zone. Putting God in a box will only quench what the Spirit can do in your lives.
There are countless occasions in the bible when God decides to do things differently and exceeds the ordinary. Who are you to decide how God wants to do something? What are the fruits in your life? What is God doing through you in your life? What signs and wonders are you seeing through your life? How many are you healing in Jesus name in your life? How many of the enemies strongholds are you breaking down in in your life? How many are being brought to Christ in your life? HOW MANY DEAD ARE BEING RAISED IN YOUR LIFE? Don’t feebly criticize a man of God, who is doing all of this in the name of Jesus and is revealing the fruits in his life, just because you don’t understand it and feel unrighteously offended.
To finish with...the amount of people locked into futile debates and unrighteous discussions and making very nasty comments is the only thing here that is clearly not of God. Todd Bentley is not perfect and will make mistakes..just like you! And there is not one person alive that won’t make a mistake. So look beyond the man and to Jesus who is in this.
Bentley is more of a witch doctor more than a "man of God". I've seen this act before only it wasn't in a "church". Apparently dressing the act up with words like "Holy Spirit", "Anointing", and other "Christianese" is all it takes for many Christians to take the bait; hook, line, and sinker. Then he is innoculated against critical thought or corrective teaching because we are supposed to put our brains, our Bibles, and our hearing ears in neutral.
I know the Holy Spirit, and what is operating in that man IS NO HOLY SPIRIT!
Ben C...you don't know the Holy Spirit. What Holy Spirit power do you see in your life.
I see the power of a changed life. I see somebody who was desperately wicked being changed into a person who loves others and is willing to put them first. It amazes me when I feel the anointing and realize that God wants me to speak or act on His behalf (me!). I see the power of the Holy Spirit when he uses me to edify my brothers and sisters (and especially when they are changed and edify me). I have seen his power this year alone when we prayed for a brother and his gall bladder was healed (it was about to be removed) and when a sister was having seizures and the EEG first showed evidence that she had had them (when they took away her drivers license) and then later showed that she HAD NEVER HAD THEM...no damage (an EEG will show damage from prior seizures).
All in all, I consider the physical healings and answered prayer to be minor when compared with the evidence we have of the Holy Spirit in changed lives. After we see God's love being poured out through the brethren it's impossible to mistake it for man's imitations.
Bravo Ben C....
The few examples you gave are no different to the thousands of the fruits of Todds life. If you were in the spotlight then the same kind of people would attack you just as they would with anyone bacuase people just can't handle someone doing it in the public eye on a large scale. It's been happening for years and will continue to. It's obvious and boring the amount of ungodly, venomous, vicious, hurtful attacks the man recieves from the likes of you and the minority. It's quite the norm and to be expected, but no thealthy for you i'm afraid. Blessed are thoses who are persecuted.
The scale of this thing IS truly amazing. Imagine all of the people being influenced by Todd Bentley and the Lakeland outpouring.
Higherground did you know what happened during the Welsh Revival and the Great Awakening? Bars, theaters, liquor stores, and whorehouses CLOSED down for the lack of business. Groups were actually meeting in bars and theaters because the Church needed the space and the owners had been converted. THAT is fruit!
When the strip clubs, night clubs, drug dealers, bars, liquor stores, X-rated book stores around Lakeland start going out of business for the lack of clientèle; when the beaches in Florida are evacuated of drunken parties, thongs and reveling, then you will have me convinced that the Holy Spirit MAY be moving through this ministry. Based on what I have seen so far (no preaching about holiness or substantial edification) sadly that will never happen. All I see are people who want to be touched by a "power" any "power" will do, and they are learning to hear a voice besides the one of the true shepherd. No fruit, just a hardening of their hearts, and a waxing cold of their love.
The reason Jesus was in the public eye (and often fled from it) was because of His many miracles and word of mouth, not because of the power of His microphone and the skill of His PR team. Those same crowds departed from Him when he told them that they would have to partake of His flesh (deny themselves and take up Christ's life). See, Bentley's profile "problem" can go away, it's totally in his hands, all he has to do is start preaching about the holiness of God instead of tickling deaf ears with -Sheeka-boom-ba-!
It's a healing revival ben.
And Todd has taken that to the streets. people being healed are bringing many to christ and being saved. Don't presume to know how God wants to do something, there is no formula and one revival will not repeat the other other wise you're putting God in a box...just where you want Him.
Was the ministry of Jesus a "healing revival"? How about Paul? Peter? Smith Wigglesworth?
As far as boxes go God's own nature restrains Him, so He put Himself and us in a box, if you get out of the box you are in disobedience. The box (standard) is called holiness and without it (imputed through repentance or imparted through conforming to the image of Jesus Christ) you will not find yourself in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
And yes, I am glad God the Father "is in a box" of His own design, if He wasn't we'd all be toast.
Psa 16:5-7 The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. (6) The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. (7) I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
We only know God's revealed will, not his secret will. Throughout scripture God show us, through His revealed will, what He thinks about things. If we spend time in the Word, not in what any man says, He reveals His Truth to us. That's the Truth that we can trust.
We are living in spiritually dangerous times when we will see all manner of men (or women) that will confuse sound spiritual doctrine. We must be sure that counterfeiters do not take us captive (II Cor. 11:13-15). Our spiritual history, here in the States has set us up perfectly for this type of a *choke* revival. We insist on seeing signs and wonders, and refuse to see the signs of the times that God clearly shows us.
One question (Okay, I have many, but we'll stick to one) I would raise is this: What do you mean when you say being saved? Saved for what? Saved from what? I think in our current climate in the Church, these are questions that need to be answered. I am finding that the God of the Bible, the God I love and serve, is not necessarily the same God that others claim to know. We have to be specific when we ask if a person is saved. My favorite question: If you were to die today why would God allow you through the gates of Heaven? The answers are always interesting, but it's a good place to start to see what a persons beliefs are really based on.
I am so saddened to read such religious, hardened and blinded views as i've seen on here. To think you all critisize someone for actually doing what Christ did, and told us to do...(Matthew 10 v 8): “heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons”.
Todd is accompanying the word with signs.. (Mark v 16 v 20): “confirming the word through accompanying of signs.
And Ben C...there's nothing unholy about this revival, don't profess to know God and His limitations, you're clearly operating in your comfort zone.
Yes, you can come back and quote many many scriptures to aid your view, but above everything else that’s discussed, debated and argued here is the most beautiful thing...which is the power of testimony. The testimony of how lives have been saved, delivered, changed, healed and transformed for the better is the most powerful thing that cannot be denied, and thank God not you or anyone else can take that away. I have been so blessed and my life is not the same thanks to this powerful move of God and no one can take that away from me....Praise God for that! And praise God for how he is using Todd Bentley.... whether you like it or not :).
