Todd has recently told the Charlotte Observer ( link to article ) that he got the bulk of his tattoos before coming to Christ. By his own admission Todd became a Christian at age 17 which means that he must have had these tattoos for a total of at least 14 yrs. Yet do a google or YouTube search for Bentley photos and you will quickly notice that he had no visible tattoos even two years ago. If he got these tattoos recently as clearly he did, then why does he feel the need to lie about it? Which brings me to another point- he claims that he was a hard core biker before coming to the Lord. I often hear his peers dismiss his tattoos as a left overs from his biker days. What biker days? He came to the Lord when he was 17!!
I have now set up a discussion at DeceptionBytes Forum here - feel free to leave comments either below or at the forum. http://deceptionbytes.com/dbforum/florida-healing-revival/todd-bentley's-tattoos/
I have pulled these pictures of his tattoos from the web and collected them in one place to view. Does anyone have any more out there? I am curious as to the symbolism.
I have heard that this is supposed to symbolize a picture on a Morification CD, one of Todd Bentley's favorite death metal bands, however I can not say this with absolute certainty. I did look at both pictures and there are similarities

Interesting....

Notice the Joel's Army tattooed dog tags near the V in his shirt. Also there is a rose with a skull and beneath it the words "To die is Gain". I would love to know what the words encircling his neck mean.

All of these tattoos have deep symbolism. Some of them I have figured but most I have not. If anyone has any additional information on the symbols or meaning of these tattoos, please post a comment or email me. Thanks

Why don't you just ask Todd? He has nothing to hide. I sounds like you are and accuser of the brethren.
I think he is a little busy right now
God help us. How blind and backslidden have we become in the modern church when a man like this can be accepted by many as a man of God, a minister of Jesus Christ.
I wouldn't let this freak get within 10 feet of me, unless he repented and wanted his demons cast out of him.
Actually, Todd has already announced to a crowd that he no longer wants to hear from anyone with a word of any sort because he's so tuned into the Spirit you can't tell him anything he doesn't already know, so save it and don't try to get it to him. So unless you're Lee Grady who issued some warnings (which I think were heard to some degree) or Dutch Sheets (who warned about the hype and lying about healings that really weren't happening), Todd wouldn't allow you near him.
I was extremely startled to find out that Todd had just recently gotten all those tatoos. I could understand it if he got them before he was saved and certainly before he became an evangelist.
Why would he do that??
There have been many red flags! I also believe that the people are hungry for true healing on all levels in these desperate wild and ungodly times. We are witnessing a kind of circus event and I AM WEEPING OVER THAT. I am praying for Todd and all those involved for true repentence and brokeness that does transform, but only through the Word and the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I Peter 5:8. The only reference to a lion in that book. Is he advertising?
Any insights into the hebrew letter CHET on his right hand - seems to mean ' hedge, fence, surround, gird'?
Whilst we must not judge by appearances, or condemn for any pre conversion decisions, it is definately not the Holy Spirit leading Todd to disfigure himself like this. Tattoos and piercings of the flesh ( except a temporary nailing of an ear to the door is a servant wants to reamin with his master)is proscribed in the Torah, authored by the Holy Spirit.
This must be a physical sign of the deep deception false spirits have led him into.
I would not let him or anyone associated with him or this 'impartation' lay hands on me or my family.
I think that it is Chet Yod and is used in Qabalistic symbolism- as far as I know ( and I have been wrong before) it corresponds the the 18th path on the mystical treeof life.
The words around his neck look like "Yeshua" (Jesus) "Ruach" (Spirit); Yahweh (Father)
There one tattoo missing:
on his forehead 666
Accuser of the brethren?! Now we are guilty for judging the fruits of men? Read Matthew 7 in NASB... Christ talks about knowing a bad tree by its bad fruit. To look at the fruit. Christ doesn't end there, He continues to talk about those who came to Him and prophesied, raised the dead, and performed miracles. People who NEVER knew Him. Not once, not ever. And Then Jesus finishes the thought saying "therefore," which is the continuation of the same thought, build your house on the rock and not on the sand.
Be careful to build your rock on only Christ. Be careful to judge the fruits of believers. If their fruit is bad so is the tree. That simple. Have your eyes open or you are a foolish man who builds his house on the sand, mankind. Build your house on Christ.
In the last picture, under his pierced ear are two Chinese characters. The one on the left means "rice" and the one of the right means "love". In the Japanese language, "rice" can also refer to America, so assuming that there are no more characters, it probably was intended to mean "I love America."
Unfortunately, it comes across more as "rice love" as it's actually written.
Rice Love... thats wild... you do have great eyesight
JOEL's ARMY... Prophetic word from Bob Jones:
Paul Cain testifies of another unusual visitation which
occurred at the age of 19, which gave him a message that he
promotes to this day. An angel appeared to him in glory and
magnificence, holding out a sword, pointing to a billboard. The
billboard said, "Joel's army now in training." When he asked the
Lord what it meant, the Lord took him through the book of Joel.
Joel's army is described in Joel 2:1-11. To Cain and others,
Joel's army is that great last days church, that "New Breed" of
believers in whom the whole plan of God is climaxed in. These are
the ones who take the world for Christ, are in perfect unity, are
invincible, even divine in a sense! The idea of a Joel's army of
invincible saints, executing judgement, is a huge expression of the
Latter Rain/Manifested Sons of God teachers.

BEWARE!
It really bothers me that some of you judge him on his tattoos. My husband and I both have tattoos and are leaders in our church. I don't agree with this guy. I think he is a definite heretic and false teacher. I know that the Word says that God will have His vengeance. Instead of worrying about what this guy is doing, why don't we get off our couches and out from in front of the keyboard and go spread the Good News and share the Gospel with the lost before guys like him get ahold of them.
Just my opnion.
I understand where you are coming from and for the most part agree. I dont care really what he looks like on the outside as long as he is teaching the truth -which of course he is not. The controversy over his tattoos for me comes not from the fact that he has them but rather the fact that he lied and told the press he got them before he was saved when clearly he did not. As well, I would like to know what the symbolism behind them means as I am sure you would not mark yourself without knowing what the symbols mean. That is the purpose of this discussion not to "bash" him.
As far as the keyboard comment goes- again I do understand where you are coming from but remember that most in the Western culture live a great portion of their lives online and it is as good of a mission feild as any. I think what you possibly meant to say is that we as Christians can make better use of our time than bashing a man for his tattoos regardless of whether or not we agree with his theology. On that point of course you are completely correct.
Folks, perhaps we should heed the Word here... Leviticus 19:28 clearly indicates that it is NOT Father's thought that we should mark our bodies in any way, and some translations specifically have it - "do not make any tattoo marks on yourselves".
Father certainly does forgive us for all the mistakes we make, but it really is pretty clear, don't you think ?
While I am no fan of tatoos and no lover of Lakeland, if you quote Leviticus 19:28 as an injunction against tatoos today, you also have to then follow all of the other injunctions in Chapter 19 as well, including not having your hair cut in a pudding bowl or bob style, and shaving if you are a man (and a woman perhaps wouldn't be able to shave her legs either)- since we cannot 'mar the beard'. You also could not wholly harvest from a field and there are a few other interesting injunctions as well. You cannot just pick out one and say 'this one must be followed' but not the rest. I know where you are coming from, but I don't think this verse can be used as an injunction to support your argument, but it perhaps can be used as a 'guide'. Since the verse includes within it a warning against cutting the flesh, I suspect that it refers to cultic customs associated with cultic worship in the nations around Israel. Most people who get tatoos today get them for aesthetic reasons rather than for cultic religious reasons. However, the main point that I am making is that you cannot insist that someone obey this injunction and not require them to obey the others if you are to be consistent in your interpretation of the chapter as a whole.
On the other hand exactly whose body is it? Everything that we have belongs to God, we are stewards and not owners. Is it good stewardship to spend money disfiguring the bodies that are to be the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit? I think that the motive and spirit behind marking up something that was made in the image of God is NOT Godly. Satan likes it when we mess up God's image in the form of our bodies, souls and spirits.
Well said, and I think that is the point being made above. We are not our own, we were bought with a price !
I suppose the same goes for over eating or indulging in extreme sports etc if you follow that logic. Nevertheless the principle of biblical interpretation remains valid. You cannot pick and choose from texts to suit your arguments. The whole principle needs to stand.
There is also a pride/exihibitionism factor. Look at ME! I'm a tatooed freak for Jesus! These tatooes on Bentley are a further evidence of his self-centerdness and desire to be at the center of attention. Aren't we supposed to be drawing attention to Jesus Christ through our joy and holiness?
Todd Bentley is a fraud... if you can not see that then you need more help to see. Accuser of not my brethren... we need to stop calling every body who names the name of christ a christian. False Prophets will rise up and he is clearly a false prophet, emma the angel that visited him is an angel of the occult.
This is wickedness.
To tell the truth I couldn't care less that the guy has tattoos. I know lots of Christians who have tattoos some, even, who got them after they were saved (gasp!). His shaved head, piercings, informal attire, biker boots, etc. are all immaterial to me. But what I did find troubling is that, again, thousands of Christians are flocking to some charismatic (note the small "c") charlatan who is leading them by the nose with one hand and emptying their wallets with the other.
Paul writes to us in Gal 6:17 that he bears in his body the marks of the Lord Jesus. These were marks of persecution and oppression received at the hand of great opposition to his ministry and stand for the Lord.
He speaks in verse 12 of those who desire to make a fair show in the flesh, drawing attention to themselves and looking more like the world so that they will not be persecuted by the world.
In verse 14 he states ... but God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Unfortunately TB is not crucified to the world or the things of the world, he desires to make a fair show in the flesh and so his glory is in the flesh. He certainly does not bear in his body the marks of the Lord Jesus, even though I'm sure he'll argue that these tattoos symbolize aspects of the word.
I wonder how this fraud will stand in the presence of the apostle Paul and claim 'divine instruction' when all he does and says is in direct conflict to every precept of God.
I then wonder how he will stand in the presence of the Lord... or what he will do when he hears those inevitable words 'I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity'.
Those who have their identity with the world, look like the world, sound like the world, behave like the world and live to please the world in them, will always make worldly claims and have a worldly following...
God have mercy on him and may he find repentance.
Reading things like this really saddens my heart but then, Jesus went around doing nothing but good for people and look what we did to Him? We Crucified Him. How dare Jesus use a Man full of tattoo's to bring Revival to a hurting world. I guess all the so-called Christians out there forgot that Jesus used a "killer" to spread the
gospel across the world in those days. His name was, Paul. I wouldn't think to highly of yourself for voicing your opinions about Todd Bently. You people (The Christians) have displayed more hate and negativity to the people than Mr.Bentley has. Are any of you filled with the Holy Spirit? Do you speak in tongues? Do you have the gifts of Wisdom and Knowledge? Or, the Impartation/The Mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven? Well then, keep your opinions to yourself because God calls "you" Ignorant! If any of you had "spiritual gifts" and the anointing you would know that Todd Bentley is not the Anti-Christ. One other thing. SATAN DOES NOT HEAL PEOPLE!!!! GOD IS THE HEALER!!! If you really knew God, then He would have told you that we won't even be in the world when the Anti-Christ comes.. God Bless you..You need it. Linda
Linda, I hope you take some honest time on this web site and read what is here, and also look at the videos, which are TB's own words and actions. I have a feeling you are a lot younger than me, anyway...I am 56; and have been walking a Spirit led life with numerous prophetic dreams that have come true, ministered to others in the gifts of the spirit, been a missionary overseas, had God's miraculous hand on me for provision and amazing acts of timing which only HE can bring about...and much more that could only be attributed to a supernatural God. But to get to the point; what is stated on this web site concerning TB is true. I am sorry to say, satan has a counterfeit for everything that God has for his people. The new-age and yogi types that see themselves as "god" also heal...I have witnessed it. My own testimony about that: www.sapphirethrone.com A lot of confusion can happen when we speak of a work of the flesh...or satan. Christians can sure get "into the flesh" and do things not ordered by the Holy Spirit. It does not mean they are "possessed by a demon." The flesh cannot be "cast out," it can only be transformed, and brought under subjection to the Word and the Spirit. To "walk in the spirit" is a moment by moment choice we make! People who profess Christ most certainly can and do involve themselves in demonic activity, which is generated by their flesh, driven by their lust. Sad but true.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Those of us who are speaking out about what we see in Lakeland with TB are not seeing the above...the fruit of the Spirit...we do not see the gentleness and self control, we see a boastful man kneeing sick people in the gut, boasting about tackling and jumping on people to "declare healing," a total lack of self control, etc, etc.
Jas 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.
15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.
16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
If you do any searching at all concerning TB's actions and what he says, you will see they are rife with confusion. Is that the spirit you want to be led by?
Please note that James put earthly, sensual, and demonic all together. A consistent thread among those that try to rationalize what TB is doing is a lack of going to the Word for support or verification. Jesus is the Living Word...we cannot separate Him from His Word...if anything is of Him, then it will reflect His character and nature! The Holy Spirit will only reflect that which is of the Father...and the Son and the Father are one...if we see that which is not in the image and spirit of Jesus the Living Word, we are to reject it!
I hope you will find understanding about what the "spirit of antichrist is." I do not see that anyone is saying TB is The Antichrist, they are saying it is a "spirit" of antichrist. Please understand the correct understanding from the Greek for antichrist means "in place of," not "against."
May the Lord lead you into all truth.
Lora, Thank you very much. The sad thing about this all is so many people are scriptualy weak. I am no better but I am trying to get better at knowing Gods word. So many people are fighting over this man without knowing the truth. Christians we need to wake up! If you can not tell we are living in the End Times thne your not reading your Bible often. The word of God makes it very clear. So don't you think satan is going to be working over time? If you are not in Gods word daily and seeking him daily, it gives satan more power to cloud your mind. Trust me, I have been there and still fight the war, as many Christians do.
God says;
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge....
Because we do not judge wisely and know the Word of God we follow after false teachings and false prophets.
Paul would be dismayed, but not surprised.
2 Corinthians 11:1-6 I hope you will put up with a little of my foolishness; but you are already doing that. I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. But I do not think I am in the least inferior to those "super-apostles." I may not be a trained speaker, but I do have knowledge. We have made this perfectly clear to you in every way.
First of all it sounds like your the blind one and yes how backslidin are you ,not to accept a man that is preaching our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ . The bible says that when the disciples seen someone in the far off telling people about Jesus that they wanted to go and do something to him or her but Jesus said if they are not teaching against us then they are for us . and how prejudice has the church gotten that someone with tattoos or piercings cant come in , the bible doesnt say anything about that unless you are "religous" or a pharasis. well anyway , people who see someone from the gutter come up and out of a hard place always wanna talk especially when they 360 and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior in there life, religous and prejudice people always wanna be stingy, greedy and just hateful ,always quick to criticize but guess what you cant keep us from Jesus ......Freedom ....i left my e-mail open so you haters have something to do.....and Praise God...
Rogdadr: You are welcome to voice your opinions here- I am not about to email you personally - I think it is fairly obvious from my site what I believe and what I stand for. My job is not to convince you and indeed I could not even if I tried. However I would like to emphatically state that I do not reject Todd's teachings on the basis of his outward appearance or on the basis of his past. What he did prior to coming to Christ is of no concern whatsoever to me. I want to state emphatically that I do not hate Todd. I simply reject what he teaches. There is a big difference. It is not biblical and it is not God.
You simply beleive that whoever speaks against this is a hateful, legalistic, fault finder who is clinging to the old wineskins and putting God in a box. Do you know WHY you think that way? Because it is part of their propaganda. Hey man, I was there - I used those same arguments when I was in the "movement". At any rate, you will not find hate here- you are welcome no matter what your views.
Mishel
You have to ask, who exactly is being glorified by Todd's preaching, appearance, teaching, doctrine, and ministry? Is it the Gospel of Jesus and our Lord Jesus Christ or is it Todd Bentley, his doctrine, and some angels?? It very much appears to by the latter to me. Does that mean I hate Todd? Unequivocally no! I have prayed for him since I first saw what was going on, and when I went to a meeting led by one of his "impartees" I stopped him after he was done laying hands on me and prayed FOR HIM.
He prayed a "prophetic" prayer over me and asked for God to give me His "fire". When I prayed for Carl, I prayed that the Lord would reveal what the "fire" really meant, that it is meant to consume everything NOT Holy! I also prayed that the Lord would give him humility so that he could receive the true revelations that God would want him to have (instead of the cold-reading that I perceived him operating in). My wife and I warned him and his wife about the false nature of this "revival" and that YES we DO believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit ARE for NOW, but that this "move" had every appearance of being out of order. We have prayed for them during and since and we prayed throughout the service that God would protect the attendees and shed His love and revelation on everyone at those meetings. God loves us and wants to reveal His truth to us all.
I have a question to ask Todd...Who did your tattoos????This person should be put in jail since it is illegal to tattoo a minor...
Todd is nothing more than a liar and a false prophet being mislead by an angel of light...He does not care anything about the Bride of Christ or else he would try to stop the great divison within...
It amazes me how the very elect are being sucked in...
I have heard that if a person tries to get near him to rebuke him they are stopped by his guards and it is declared another satanist trying to do him harm....Yes, he needs to fear but he needs to fear God and fear what his teachings are doing to his soul and the soul's of his followers...
Many say that he is a child of God, but I declare which god????
Some people have already sunk deep into the tar pit of deceit...Others are wading into it....Some are under the shadows of deceit....Then we have those who declare that this is deceit and his teachings are not from the throne room of God....
Blessings..........................
Thank you soo much Mishel for your encouragement , im not standing up for todd or for what he is doing , i just think people focus to much on non sense like tattoos and rumored up false doctorines and take it to the head instead of praying and interceding for the lost
and taking the word to the street . "They wont let us in the church so we take it to the street" when people see us they automatically think "gang member or drug dealer but its all good because God has left something for us to do .Luke 4:43.I love the Lord and i can never repay what he has done for me and for what he continues to show me in this life in my walk with Him but i know and am 100% certain that i will die a man of God ...His mercy , love and grace is more than anyone can aver explain .thank you again ...Roger Da Dr.
Rogdadr: I understand where you are coming from in terms of outward appearance, however I would disagree that the false doctrine is "rumored up". While I do admit that not everyone investigating Bentley is doing so in an ethical and fair manner, I for one have always tried to use his own words and back up my statements with examples. Contrary to what is stated in todays churches doctrine is important and so is God's word. The Bible says that he has magnified his word above his own name! However balance is needed. We can have all the correct doctrine in the world but without Jesus we would still die and go to hell.
Anyway, whether or not you agree with the things stated on this site you are welcome here and welcome to post. Your views will not be censored. Feel free to visit the forum and start a discussion thread if you like.

If you knew Todd, you would know how absolutely ridiculous the things you say about him are. You are, for the most part, judging him by his appearance, but it is in fact his appearance that makes people who are not saved respond to him and recieve salvation and he does all of this IN THE NAME OF JESUS, never glorifying himself. Shame on you...I am much reminded of the pharisees who wanted to cast our Jesus becuase He didn't fit in their religious box. And many of your statements are completely untrue and misreported. Ive never seen or heard Todd say he was a biker, and he did come to Jesus when he was 17 but just rededicated his life and began his ministry in the last 10 years. He did have a few tatoos a few years ago, when I traveled with his ministry, but the bulk have been in the last few years, and they all have very significant meaning about revelation that would probably blow your mind. If you are so curious, do some research or ask Todd himself, he is really a very down to earth guy with an amazing kind heart and a beautiful family. Please don't be responsible for hindering the work of God and reduce yourself to gossip about a man of God. You should see what God has done through him. And how like God is it to use an unlikely vessel to do his work, isn't that in fact what he did with Jesus and all the disciples, I bet you wouldn't have recognized them as men of God either.
Why are the tattoo's such a big issue? And the neck tattoo, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in Hebrew. Did it occur to anyone that this in fact draws the younger generation in, and you may not be able to reach the ones that need God the most, in your suit and tie?
Tattoos! What a crock! Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever... he never needed anything to entice the young people we all need the SAME gospel truth. HE is the way the truth the life. fear a Holy God. Repeant. He is God and we are not......

True Evangelism at work.

If you knew Todd, you would know how absolutely ridiculous the things you say about him are. You are, for the most part, judging him by his appearance, [ I am concerned about his teachings not about his appearance- the part about his appearance that bothers me is that he lied about when he got the tattoos http://www.charlotte.com/345/story/676593.html] but it is in fact his appearance that makes people who are not saved respond to him and recieve salvation [so what you are saying is that the tattoos convict people of their sin and make them repentant?] and he does all of this IN THE NAME OF JESUS, never glorifying himself. [You don't think that Todd brings any glory to himself?? wow...ok] Shame on you. [no thank you I do not receive your shame nor do I want it "on" me]..I am much reminded of the pharisees who wanted to cast our Jesus becuase He didn't fit in their religious box. [ yes yes standard argument] And many of your statements are completely untrue and misreported. [ can you name them- the things I report are well documented and I give sources] Ive never seen or heard Todd say he was a biker, and he did come to Jesus when he was 17 but just rededicated his life and began his ministry in the last 10 years. [Todd himself states that he was saved at 17 although in some places he says 18. Chek wikipedia and also his own website states he was born again between Christmas 1993 and January 1994!] He did have a few tatoos a few years ago, when I traveled with his ministry, but the bulk have been in the last few years,[then why did he tell the Charlotte Observer that he got the bulk of them before he was saved? http://www.charlotte.com/345/story/676593.html] and they all have very significant meaning about revelation that would probably blow your mind.[I doubt it- I came out of this movement- but if you say so] If you are so curious, do some research or ask Todd himself, [I think he is kinda busy] he is really a very down to earth guy with an amazing kind heart and a beautiful family. [I do not doubt that] Please don't be responsible for hindering the work of God and reduce yourself to gossip about a man of God. [my articles are well researched and I have included my sources. Where possible I have used Todd's own words from his articles and so forth] You should see what God has done through him. And how like God is it to use an unlikely vessel to do his work, isn't that in fact what he did with Jesus and all the disciples, I bet you wouldn't have recognized them as men of God either.[God does use unlikely vessels I agree- it is his teachings that I disagree with- they are not biblically based- please do your own research and do not let your personal opinion of this man cloud your judgement]
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit has never changed.
If anyone claims to be doing God's work, do not believe unless his fruits, not his intentions are in sink with the LORDS. What does it matter that this dude does things in the name of Jesus Christ? The obvious truth is that many will come in the name of Jesus Christ but will turn their followers from Jesus.
Honestly I do not care if Todd is doing the work of who he claims, out of love I don't want anyone devieved if Todd is a fake.
The trick is to contrast everything Todd has or is doing with the bible. If you find no problem with what he's up to I suggest you read it again.
*the bible that is*
God bless.
Ruach is the hebrew word for spirit. The word before it looks like the end of Yeshua, the hebrew name of Jesus.
Yea h and you're wrong again this time...it's nothing like it. so stop trying to FIND fault.
Anyone that thinks this self glorifying circus act is operating under any spirit besides anti-Christ needs to do some serious consideration of the word and prayer. If you know Jesus and hear his voice how can you go for this stuff?
Mar 9:35-37 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. (36) And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, (37) Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
Ask yourself this, where is the humility???
Ben C....
Just what point are you trying to prove with that scripture?
Just because Todd is in the public eye (obviously), and taking Jesus to the whole world (like you should), and not keeping it for himself, and changing the lives of thousands of people, makes him proud does it?? what are the fuits in your life? How are you being used by God in your life? before you criticize this man think how you would fair in the spotlight for God.
Mishel......
You claim Todd's biblical teachings are not biblical..
State them here (if you think you're glorifying God in this slander of a man's character)..I challenge you. And i'm waiting....
In the mean time read the below article.
Note from Mishel: Comment removed- exact comment was placed under four different articles- you are free to post in the forum but the purpose of the comment section is to comment or discuss the article at hand.
Specifically, that Todd Bentley is not a servant. How and who does he serve? As far as where I stand, I am quite comfortable to be measured by the standard that I am holding Todd to. I don't stand up and BRAG (yes BRAG) in front of thousands of people to increase my profile, going so far as BRAGGING about being violent. If the Holy Spirit was REALLY being poured out in a powerful way why would Todd have to do SO MUCH self promotion?
I guess some Christians think that having someone else recieve from God for them and take the place of Christ as their High Priest is "service". Guess what it isn't.
Ben C,,all your posts have no wisdom whatsoever and are full of your angry opinion. which is why i'm not interested in your points.
I want Mishel to respond to my posts.
higherground, I can't help but notice the hositilty in your posts. I guess the air must be thin up there.
Yes. I am angry Higherground. Earlier you cited Jesus overturning the moneychangers tables. Do you have any idea what that signifies? The moneychangers were making merchandise of the devout that were making pilgrimage to worship God at His sanctuary. The moneychangers were profiting from other peoples sacrifice and devotion! Sound like anyone we know? My beef isn't just with Todd Bentley, it's with everyone I see in this man made "clergy" class. Todd Bentley is merely the most grossly outrageous of a sad bunch. I'll guarantee that Mr. Bentley is going to fall just as Swaggart, Baker, Cain, and Bob Jones did, and everyone is going to say "How did this man of God fall so low?". My answer, they never fell at all.
Pro 16:18-19 Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. (19) Better it is to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
Jas 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
AND ESPECIALLY:
1Jn 2:18-19 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. (19) They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
