listen very carefully to what Pat says regarding "opening of portals" in every city now, and in people through the impartation, this kind of impartation leads to demon posession and is a way of no return. They will all accept the antichrist and the mark of the beast, as they will be demon controlled and void their discernment of God's truth. Unfortunately the official and final "signing over of the apostate church to Satan" has started.

People of God, get on your knees and pray that this decit does not enter your homes. Look around the End is near.

A wise AOG pastor once said to me "Apostles are great- if you are an Apostle!". In other words, for everybody else under the authority of a so-called Apostle, it's not so great. The following characteristics of an Apostle that you listed, Mishel, are, for me, the most frightening and destructive of all.

'Teach that we should never question their authority.
· They use the term “Touch not God’s anointed” frequently when questions are raised.
· They peg those that question their authority as bound by religion, legalistic, divisive, narrow minded, rebellious, and demonic'

I'm so glad I'm out of all that stuff. I sat in a cafe last Sunday morning having breakfast with my wife and I quietly thanked God that I had been taken out of all of that nonsense! I wouldn't go back to it for anything. Fifteen years of Sundays whipping up the 'spirit' were quite enough, thank you!

I understand totally how you feel, it is like calling out to someone they are about to drown, you throw them a lifeline and they just get angry with you!! I think the key is that you MUST love TRUTH, it is those who do not have a love of the truth that God allows the strong delusion to believe the lie. I have wrestled with this for years, hardly anyone wants to hear the truth, and I don't think they are truly Christ's. Christianity isn't one big self indulgent, out of control party, but this is how the so called "church" is looking, ie: Todd Bentley meetings, and others along those lines. I am flabbergasted that anyone cannot see it is truly demonic stuff. I am indignant that this blasphemy is attributed to the HOLY Spirit of God, and maybe it is the sin that can never be forgiven. I have been told by some "Christians" that to say this "new outpouring and anointing" is me blaspheming against the Holy Spirit!! I am no longer attending any church, it is not a safe thing to do. God wants us out of there, just like he got Lot out of Sodom before the fire fell. But HE is still sovereign, and all this is no surprise. Let God be God, and don't worry - all you can do is keep warning them and maybe pull some out of the fire just in time.

Dr. Steve seems to have some serious "I" problems too. The self-centered nature of this message leaves me believing that Dr. Steve is just upset that HE is not drawing the gaudy crowds.

About 'going global'... I am from The Netherlands, and they started already with revival nights from last sunday, just every night, like in Lakeland, with an open end. Two months ago there was a so called fire night (the same people were involved, who organize this revival nights) and I just found out that there was an impartation with Che Ahn, who was on the stage in Lakeland as well. Oh my... Pray for The Netherlands!

I can understand that you are not going to church. I didn't go for a couple of years, and am now going again. But it is hard. Influences like the Rick Warren 40 days thing is populair there, like in many churches. And true biblestudy... I don't know, but till now I did not find it. It seems that too many churches are sick, and yet: the bible says that we should go to church (Paul mentioned that).

This is why we need to have a clear understanding of what the Word says! It's time to start believing what it ACTUALLY SAYS and stop promoting the heresy of the "rapture". There most definetly be a "rapture", but it's going to be a rapture of fire, all wood, hay and stubble is going to be consumed in the brightness of Christ's coming (in His people). This article has alot of hyperventailated hyberbole in it, when God is made manifest in His Sons, when they are totally enveloped in his will (read in Romans 8) then the world will be turned upside down. Remember our ways our not His way, our way IS inequity, and our hearts are never in agreement with His (unless His Holy Spirit causes them to be regenerated continually).

You're right this sounds like a false move (of man). Like Jeraboam man is trying to have his own temple so the people won't go up and worship in Jerusalem. That doesn't AT ALL mean that God is NOT establishing His people as a temple and a fit habitation for Himself! God has always wanted a people "set apart", holy, sanctified to His purpose. Not a bunch of self-satisfied, fat and sassy Laodicians who could care less what God wants from them. Then to have the temerity that God would take you straight to heaven a la Enoch or Elijah! Ha! What presumption! Dream on.

Just to comment on the above, is "church" today what it was in the years after Jesus resurrection? The church is actually the body of Christ, those who are His and obey Him. Go back to that scripture about "not forsaking the gathering together as some do" and think about it's whole meaning in CONTEXT. There are a lot more warnings and advice about being separate from those who can lead you astray, as a little leaven leavens the whole lump. Gathering together with a few Christians who believe in TRUTH and show the fruit of the Spirit, developing or mature, is a blessed thing. I honestly think the whole church system of paid Pastors, "ministries" and getting people to "identify their gifts" (so long as it matches their church job descriptions)has gotten out of hand. The Christian life is simple, humble, gentle, forgiving and definitely does not use, abuse and throw good people out. My last church experience was of huge abuse of my time, money and faith, and being treated like garbage if I made any objection at all to the preaching. It is a long story, but save to say 90% of the leadership left the church after me because they tried to reason with the pastor and were attacked, abused and lied about by him when they did so. The remaining leadership are "yes" people who find it easier to turn a blind eye and be continually "nice" no matter what.

Your position sounds confused to me what exactly are you saying? You are agreeing with the NAR and the dominionists that the wicked will be raptured? If so, you are in good compay as that is what the new agers and esoteric religions believe.  However, that is not the position of this website or this article. You sound like you both agree and disagree with me- just want you to clarify your points.  You most certainly are welcome to disagree and will always be welcome here regardless.

My position has changed alot lately. Not long ago I believed in the rapture of the wicked (with plenty of scriptures to back it up). I'm now begining to think that there is going to be one event where many of scriptures are fulfilled: the "rapture", the resurrection (event), the revelation of the mystery of righteousness and inequity, the baptism of fire, the great and terrible day of the Lord, in a moment in the twinkling of an eye, recieving the spirit of adoption, being manifest as a sons of God. and many more. I'm suspecting that all of these things have very little to do with the "orthodox" church which has been established (and corrupted) by men. God is going to build His own house according to his specifications and it's not going to look ANYTHING like what men would ever devise...not a corporation with a CEO...not a University with a doctoral program....not a feudal system (like NAR). We each need to be recieving our directions from our ONE High Priest Jesus Christ and accept NO other mediator between us and God. The Word has to be our final authority as it is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit (and not some seminarian or "Apostle"....both have an odor of gnosticism).

I believe that my works will be tested with fire (Hebrews) and everything that doesn't measure up that I have built on the foundation of Jesus Christ will be consumed, raptured, removed, and separated with a sharp two-edged sword. This is absolutely necessary if I'm going to be able to enter into the presence of a Holy God. I believe that when Jesus referred to "two" in the field, on the roof and in bed he was referring to our spiritual duality mentioned in the book of James (about the double-minded man) my "old man" is going to be taken away (as he offends) and only my regenerated man will remain.

Well, Paul doesn't actually say we should go to church. He says that we should not neglect fellowship with each other. You can fellowship with other Christians in a variety of ways without going to a church. You can meet in home groups or in informal prayer times. Not verything has to be done in that formal church setting. I think that where there is no church in which you feel comfortable, then you do sometimes have to fellowship in different ways, even if only as a stopgap,

Steven Lambert sure sounds like another phony Prophet for Profit to me. There's a whole lot of "demons and prophecy" with this whack-job. He has a story right on his website slm.org talking about his divorce and blaming demons as the reason he divorced his wife. He also has a creepy "friends" group that seems to like to threaten people with lawsuits.

I thank God that people are finally realizing what this Pentecostal movement is all about. I wondered why so many Christians are willing to accept it with open arms as if it were ligit. I had some friends, who are Pentecostals, and when I decided to tell them the truth about their doctrines, they disowned me, telling me they never wanted to hear from me again. They felt that I had "drawn back unto perdition". The sad part, to me, is that they, actually, may be headed to hell for adding works (requiring tongues) to their salvation to get saved instead of being saved through grace by faith alone in Christ. Their strong need for emotionalism has deceived them. Their experiences have out ranked the Bible for them. They have been deceived by their own fleshly emotional desire for experiences. Was this not how Eve was first tempted? When will the Body of Christ take a stand? This movement should have been stopped by Christianity way back when it first started. It is nothing more than another cult from the 1800's and should be treated like one.

When speaking of "Pentecostals", one should be careful about making general statements as this term or label is applied across a wide spectrum. You mention that your Pentecostal friends required speaking in tounges as a condition of salvation. I beleive you are speaking regarding a group or collection of groups that also require baptism for salvation, as well as holding to anti-trinitarian (modelism or Sebelianism) heresy. This is not the doctrine of the Assemblies of God, Foursquare Church, Pentecostal Holieness, Church of God in Christ or any number of other denominations that hold to doctrinal orthodoxy, yet maintain that the gifts of the Holy Spirit remain active to this day.

In that you seem to hold to the Cessationist point of view, you are welcome to that opinion. However, one must consider that to attribute works of the Holy Spirit to the activity of Satan is a considerable offense. According to your post, I suppose that you would cast me into the lot of those who are bedeviled, deceived and demonically possessed.

I love Jesus dearly, have served him since I was four years old (now almost 50) and have received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit (with evidence of tounges) at age 12. I have witnessed healing (some miraculous) and have discipled many in their growth in Christ.

And yes, I have seen emotionalism and false ministry as well. However, these failing and shortcomings are not at all restricted to those who hold to Pentecostal distinctives. I have also seen these same issues evident with a variety of Baptists, Presbyterians, Lutherans, so on and so forth...

For all this, it is obvious to me (a Pentecostal) that Todd Bentley is involved in heresy, not because of what one might attribute to "Pentecostalism" but rather his rejection of scriptural doctrine and adoption of the theologies of historical heresies, false teachers and pagan doctrines.

It seems that you have a particular issue with Pentecostals, and are using Todd Bentley as a soapbox. I pray that you will give grace to the wider body of Christ, and use discernment to rightly divide the word of Truth. In your anger and hurt you indict us all.

We join you in your disgust at what is going on in Lakeland, as well as God TV, Sid Roth, much of the programming on TBN, etc...

Let us all work together to reconcile the body of Christ, and focus our attentions on bringing to light the deceptions of the enemy.

I was brought up on that latter rain baloney. But I could no longer deny the weight of scripture that endorses the children of God receiving a glorified body as depicted in Romans 8. But brother, let's look at this scripture in it's proper context."For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope,

Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Rom 8:23 And not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body." So, dear brother, through the application of the hermenuetical law of context, you may readily see that those who hold to the errant teaching of "the manifest sons of God," have completely uprooted Rom 8:19 and deliberately and maliciously twisted its meaning. Let's check another witness from John the Beloved. "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." (1JN 3:2)Do you notice the requirement for such a transformation to occur? We must see Him. Todd Bentley has obviously not seen Him, or his tatoos would be gone, since the Bible plainly states that tatoos are a sin. Again this speaks of the rapture of the church. be a berean ben. I pray you will be delivered as I, and many others have been from this false teaching.

Okay, but how do you deal with a Holy God who calls us to be as Holy? Apparently He did the work so we don't have to???

We see that Jesus has provided a way so WE PURIFY OUR SOULS in OBEYING THE TRUTH.

Heb 12:1-4 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, (2) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (3) For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. (4) Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

What are we supposed to do to "run this race"? Lay down every weight and sin, run with patience, look to Jesus, and resist. Look at the all of the ACTION words that we are called to in PURSUING salvation.

Heb 12:12-16 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; (13) And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. (14) Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: (15) Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; (16) Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

Heb 12:27-29 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. (28) Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: (29) For our God is a consuming fire.

1Co 3:12-15 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; (13) Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. So how are we to make it?? How are we to find sufficiency in the sight of an all consuming fire of a Holy God?

Mat 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (29) Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. (30) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Getting under Jesus (our head) and STAYING THERE! I have studied the word for most of my life and I feel I have been delivered out of the "rightly dividing the Word of God" crowd (wrongly decimating the Word is more like it). Hermeneutics are fine but I think many of the people that apply them have to ignore much of the weight of scriptures.

Well, Brother, I love a man who loves his Bible. You have my respect! I agree with you 100% on the holiness issue, however I must maintain my position that it can only be accomplished through the finished work of the cross. When our faith is centered in "Christ and Him Crucified, the "Law Of The Spirit Of Life In Christ Jesus will make us free from 'The Law Of Sin And Death." (Rom 8:1&2)

That "sin will not have dominion over us." (Rom 6) I am a pentecostal preacher, Ben, and you are a man after my own heart! My contention is that what is taking place in the Church today is not true holiness. Unless you perceive Christian heavy metal and tatooed madmen as a form of holiness. We are much closer on this subject than I previously thought.

As a student of God's Word, I find Kingdom Now, Dominionism, and most of the whole latter rain teachings to be contrary to God's Word. I came from that movement. I know some of their movers and shakers personally. Most of them have some serious issues. If I may be completely honest with you, some smoke, drink, and go to strip clubs. Many have pagan backgrounds, and simply merged their paganism with Christianity.

You are a very intelligent, well-read brother, and I would be foolish to think I could win an argument with you. What I can do, however, is to love God's people and warn as many as I can to avoid these false prophets like the plague. Thanks for taking the time to read my post, Ben! Blessing!

I was raised in a plain church, was closely mentored by my Southern Baptist pastor in College and later completed the 2 year course in the AG "Bereans" program. After all of this, I am NOT a dispensationalist, nor would I consider myself to be a Pentecostal (in the the denominational sense). I feel that I am operating within the understanding and feast of Pentecost having already partaken of the feast of Passover (when I was born again). I fully agree with you on the nonsense that takes place in the name of "apostolic" and "prophetic" ministries claiming to be anointed by the Holy Spirit. These men (and women) are the spiritual equivalent of Jeroboam who set up false altars (in 1 Kings 12) to keep the people from partaking of the Lords feasts in Jerusalem.

As far as the Latter Rain movement is concerned I think many have it WRONG in practice. To enter into all God has for us we are to become: 1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

In other words there is no room in Gods plan for any one man or group of men to stand out. No clergy/laity split with people trying to mediate between God and man (with is the job of Jesus alone!). 1Ti 2:5-6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (6) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

We don't NEED a Todd Bentley (or anyone else for that matter) to "hear" God for us. We need to hear and be taught of Him OURSELVES.

1Jn 2:20-29 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. (21) I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. (22) Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (23) Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. (24) Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. With that verse I'll go one further, any man that tries to supplant Jesus Christ as the one and only mediator is DENYING the SON! Any man that would set himself up as the head of his brethren is TRYING to take the place earned by Jesus and IS OPERATING IN THE SPIRIT OF ANTI-CHRIST! I have too many heads as it is, I have a meat-head (of flesh) and Jesus Christ, why do I need to complicate things further by allowing someone else to insert themselves into that role? I am in submission to my brothers in the Lord but they are not my head.

I see much of the teaching in the "Latter Rain" as being very good. Buddy Cobb, George Warnock, Sam Fife, and Kelly Varner all have some very good teaching and understanding of the Word. I believe that the spiritual understanding is much more comprehensive than anything I've seen coming out of Dallas, Grand Rapids, or Moody.

We would do well to consider that Rick Joyner was knighted by the Knights of Malta of the Catholic church as told by multiple independent sources (http://watch.pair.com/quest.html). The Knights of Malta are said to be the most important military orders within the church. I do not claim to have any special revelation knowledge but my studies of the Catholic church (I was a member when I was new in the faith until I started reading the scriptures for myself) have led me to believe that it is at least one of the horns of the beast like a lamb (the false prophet) of Rev. 13:11.

There was a time when most Protestant preachers agreed that Rome was the great whore of Babylon. Now, they are joining hands with her. There is no doubt Rome is calling for all Christians to unite under the authority of the pope in a spirit of ecumenism. Remember history has already revealed Rome as heretical not only in doctrine, but by actions. She has indeed shed the blood of many Christians and Muslims alike when she had DOMINION over the world. This is the main reason why Muslims do not trust Christians and mock the name of Christ. They certainly do not see the love of Christ in her. She lost much of her power but is now seeking it again and, perhaps, with the help of Joyner and this new breed of Dominionist she will suceed.

I am only starting to investigate these things and make no claims that I know the absolutele truth . I do know that I am groaning in the spirit over what I see taking place and many following after it. I find myself almost not knowing what to believe anymore, except for the simplicity that is in Christ. May the Lord bless us with wisdom and discernment in this hour. It could be that judgment is beginning with the house of God.

This is a very serious moment; Let him who has ears hear. I know it is difficult to judge the Catholic church. We want to accept the good she has done, forgive her for her past, and ebrace her as a sister. Although we may forgive do not be decieved. I had posted a link previously and want to make this point so that you will see that it is not unreasonable, but in fact almost certainly true.

Consider this: "And every spirit that confeses not that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist ..." (1 John 4:3).

If you think about it, they do deny Christ has come in the flesh if they believe in the immaculate conception, for then Christ was not truly human. How could Christ be truly human if not born of a woman with a sin nature as the rest of mankind? This they deny. The fact that Christ could be tempted and “was in ALL POINTS TEMPTED like as we are, yet without sin” proves He was born with our sin nature, only He overcame it, did not sin. That is why He is worthy. Again, they deny Christ came in the flesh if they believe in the immaculate conception, and they do. They have the spirit of antichrist. great article. i'm even more scared than i was before. the idea of how many people worldwide who follow this cult is staggaring.

as the saying goes, history repeats itself. it seems we are back in the crusades. iraq is a thinly veiled holy war justified and misinterpreted by people such as these.

so what comes next? oh right the dark ages.

and just think about how great is the economy looking these days.

May I just add that Eric Prince, founder of private security firm Blackwater, which has 20,000 "operatives" in Iraq, is also a Knight of Malta.
This confirms the theory of a modern day crusade.

Joseph Schmitz, blackwater's head of operations, seems to be fairly well reported as a Knight of Malta.

As for Eric prince, I cannot find my original source at the moment. His political and religious affiliations point in that direction anyway.

I will keep looking and let you know what I find.

Do you or anyone in this blog know if Dutch Sheets is involved in Every Nation Ministries (aka Morning Star Int'l)? I did find out during google searches that Peter Wagner has connections (association) with the founders. I do know that the church is under a ministry by they haven't said that it is Every Nation and it's not USAA, NAR, GAR,or ICA.

I am not really too familiar with Morning Star International because that is a different entity then Rick Joyners Group.  However I am sure that you know that C Peter Wagner and Dutch Sheets are completely entwined.
